Students rent private dwellings directly from landlords in the community. Students are assisted in finding suitable lodging in the community by means of a University-maintained housing website, which local landlords are able to use to advertise their rental property. The website lists pertinent details about available housing on the island and gives detailed descriptions and photographs of the available properties for rent.

Administration staff of the University on the island are able to assist students in communicating with landlords and are helpful in answering the myriad of questions that arise. The Student Handbook also provides students with a detailed description of policies and procedures pertaining to obtaining housing on Sint Eustatius.
