USESOM Representation at AMSA Meeting

June 26, 2007

The University of Sint Eustatius School of Medicine (USESOM) will be represented at the American Medical Student Association's (AMSA) annual Chapter Officers Conference in Washington D.C. in July 2007.

The University of Sint Eustatius AMSA President, Christina Walling, will attend the 4 day event.  The future Dr. Walling will attend the conference alongside other AMSA officers from U.S. and international chapters.  The event includes a legislative day to lobby for improvements in children’s health at home and abroad through the African Health Capacity Investment Act through reauthorization and expansion of the State Children's Health Insurance Program.

AMSA recognizes USESOM as an international chapter, which was formed under the direction of faculty supervisor Dr. Lori Trout and has approximately 50 student members.  USESOM is proud to have Ms. Walling as the school representative at the AMSA meeting.
