Promotion of Dr. Ahmed Nasser

On behalf of the University of Sint Eustatius School of Medicine, I am pleased to announce that Dr. Ahmed Nasser, M.D. nomination for promotion has been supported by president Dr. Len Wisneski, M.D. Effective as of July 1st, 2010. Dr. Ahmed Nasser is now Associate Professor of Physiology.
We extend our gratitude to Dr. Ahmed Nasser for his work in the Physiology, Pharmacology and Molecular Biology Department and congratulate him on his well deserved promotion.

USESOM Travels To Canada

USESOM Announces New U.S.-Based 5th Term Program - 5th@Atlanta

The University of Sint Eustatius School of Medicine is excited to annouce the relocation and launch of its U.S.-based 5th Term Program. 5th@Atlanta is located in Duluth, a popular and rapidly developing suburb of Atlanta, Georgia.
Formerly located at Lincoln College in Normal, Illinois, the University of Sint Eustatius School of Medicine's 5th Term program offers qualified students the choice to attend 5th Term either in the U.S. or on Sint Eustatius once having completed the 1st through 4th Terms of the Basic Sciences Program on Sint Eustatius or having qualified Basic Science transfer credits from another University.
Dr. Abrar Khan has relocated with the program and will continue in his role as Director of 5th@Atlanta.
USESOM students attending 5th@Atlanta will have access to an expanded clinical experience thanks to the University's growing population of Atlanta area-based Clinical students and M.D. Alumni, and exisiting relationships with hospitals and clinics in Atlanta and the surrounding communities.

USESOM Partners With Columbia Southern University

USESOM has partnered with Columbia Southern University to offer our eligible Clinical students the opportunity to earn an MBA while completing their Clinical Rotations.
CSU's MBA health care management concentration is an excellent way to expand our students' scope of knowledge and consequently increase their personal value within the health care industry.
In addition to our partnership with CSU, USESOM students are already pursuing similar educational opportunities at the University of New England, Walden University, Florida Tech Univeristy, andDavenport University. These institutions offer varied Master programs including concentrations on business and/or healthcare administration (MBA), public health (MPH), and medical education leadership (MMEL).
