Dr. Nasser

Ezzeldin Nasser earned his MD Degree from Grace University School of Medicine in 1987. After earning his M.S. in microbiology and immunology in 1994 at New York Medical College, Dr. Nasser joined the department of microbiology as a Research Associate in the laboratory of Infectious Diseases under the direction of Drs. Doris Bucher and Edwin Kilburn, commonly known as Mr. Influenza.  There, between 1993 and 1999, he began his work on influenza, concentrating on antiviral therapy. He earned Ph.D. in 1999 from New York Medical College in Microbiology and Immunology.

In 2001, Dr. Nasser joined Medical University of the Americas in St Kitts Nevis, the West Indies as associate professor and course Director of Microbiology and Immunology. 

In 2003, Dr Nasser joined St. Matthews University School of Medicine in the Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands as a full professor and chairman of the Department of Pathology and Microbiology.

He became Assistant Dean of basic sciences and Chairman of the Committee on Admissions in Jan, 2004. Dr. Nasser became the Disciplinary Committee Chairman in May 2003. In September 2003, he assumed the position of Vice President of faculty senate, and in May 2004, he was appointed the President of faculty senate. In January 2005, he became the Dean of basic science, the chairman of the examination committee, and the chairman of the faculty search committee. He also served as The National Board Medical Examiner Executive Chief Proctor (ECP).  He was able to build a partnership between the School of Medicine and the Health Services Authority (HAS) as well as strong ties with the community. His affiliation with Harvard Medical International (HMI) group lead to positive changes to the curriculum, advances in teaching methods, innovations in online resources, and the development of a web-based educational platform.

Dr. Nasser was honored with the golden apple award six times, which is to recognize the most appreciated faculty by student’s popular votes.

   
Marc Poulin

Following graduation with a B.S. and M.S. from the University of Maine, Marc was recruited and hired by Parke-Davis, an international pharmaceutical company, to represent their cardiovascular products to community physicians and hospitals. He earned many awards and recognitions within the company through years of success and knowledge of physician practices.

With significant downsizing of pharmaceutical companies in the late 90’s, Marc joined an international medical school and gained valuable experience as an Assistant Dean. As the vision and ideas of Sint Eustatius were conceived, Marc joined the founders to develop a clinical department that would afford quality clinical teaching, individualized guidance, and management of students. Working for the University of Sint Eustatius, in collaboration with a core group of professional administrators and professors, has allowed the program to develop an excellent reputation based on simple ideas to provide excellence in teaching and personal case management.

As a senior member of the administrative team, Marc brings over a decade of industry knowledge and perspective to the educational process and continues to enjoy building and managing a reputable clinical program as Assistant Dean of Clinical Services and VP of Academic Development.
